Media boycott Shah Rukh Khan's press meet

October 4, 2014

Mumbai, Oct 4: Mediapersons boycotted a press conference to be attended by Shah Rukh Khan after the Bollywood superstar along with his 'Happy New Year' team turned up almost four hours late.

Media boycott
The 48-year-old actor along with actors Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Boman Irani and Sonu Sood were to address the press at the venue at 4.30 pm yesterday as per the invitation, but none of them or the event organisers turned up even after 8 pm to inform mediapersons about the reasons for the delay.

When asked about the delay, a PR official reportedly asked the media why they turned up for the event on time, which irked the press. Khan, who later came to the venue, did attempt to pacify the journalists but to no avail. His promises to give every mediaperson an exclusive interaction also went in vain.

Journalists told SRK they had nothing against him, but it was the behaviour and attitude of the event organisers that they were upset with.
