Residential districts only for families: Sharjah Sultan

Sharjah, April 5: Dr Shaikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, stressed that the residential districts in the emirate will be only for families and bachelors will be prevented from residing there.

Shaikh Sultan said this while touring Wasit Street in Sharjah City, accompanied by Salah bin Butti, Head of the Department of Planning and Survey, and Sultan Al Mualla, Director-General of the Sharjah Municipality.

Shaikh Sultan immediately ordered the transfer of bachelors from Halwan and other districts to the areas allocated to them. The transfer instructions would cover all the districts in Sharjah city.

Shaikh Sultan reiterated his orders to demolish all the violating buildings in the residential areas along Wasit Street.

Butti said the Ruler has instructed implementation of a green belt among the investment and residential buildings, adding that the green belt would include family parks and area for family sports.

Al Mualla said the civic body would immediately implement the instructions of Shaikh Sultan regarding the bachelors’ residences in Halwan and other districts.
