Prince Salman receives historic documents

Riyadh, April 29: Minister of Defense and Chairman of King Abdulaziz Research Center (KARC) Prince Salman received a delegation from the Al-Abu Milha family on Saturday.


The delegation delivered a series of historic documents including letters addressed by Kings Abdulaziz, Saud and Faisal and other princes and officials to their family leader Abdulwahab Abu Milha. The documents covered the period 1340-1373H.


Prince Salman appreciated the Abu Milha family’s initiative in responding to KARC’s program on the retrieval, documentation and rehabilitation of documents’ to boost the process of research and studies.


Deputy Secretary General of KARC Nasir Al-Juhaimi said the number of documents delivered by people to KARC has so far exceeded 1 million.


The continued response by people and those interested in history and its sources from all parts of the Kingdom within the KARC project represents communal awareness toward the importance of historic documents that are considered national and scientific wealth, he pointed out.
