Mumbai, Apr 11: An unknown Muslim organisation has received unexpected support to the Hindu right wing outfit, Vishwa Hindu Parishad that recently demanded a ban against Kamal Haasan's upcoming film, Uttama Villain.

The Muslim body has stated that the actor hurt the sentiments of the Muslim population through his earlier film Vishwaroopam and was trying to do the same with the Hindus, in his upcoming film Uttama Villain. The organisation also alleged that the actor was trying to get cheap publicity by raking up controversies, according to reports.

VHP had recently filed a complaint with the Chennai Police Commissioner seeking a ban on the film. The Muslim organisation has now requested the Commissioner to arrest Kamal Haasan under National Security Act. The film has been slated for release on May 1.
