
Udupi, June 23: Members of the Udupi District BJP Yuva Morcha on Thursday evening staged a protest demanding the central government to impose a ban on Karnataka Forum for Dignity (KFD), for the alleged involvement of its members in the murder of two students of Hunasur.
BJP District Vice President and advocate Mattar Rathnakar Hegde alleged that in the absence of a Common Civil Code, a section of anti social elements have been scot-free. District BJP President Udaya Kumar Shetty urged the BJP government in the state to take stern action to eliminate the KFD from the state.
District BJP Yuva Morcha President Vilas Nayak accused that KFD could be banned for its links with the banned organization SIMI.
Councillors of Udupi CMC Naveen Bhandary, Yashpal Suvarna, Shyamprasad Kudwa, Ravi Amin also participated.
