Udupi, June 24: General Secretary of Udupi Zilla Nagarika Samithi Nithyananda Volakad and his team, on behalf of the voters on Friday took out a march on the streets of Udupi to collect 'Tappu Kanike' (expiate), to be submitted to idol of Manjuantha located at Sri Kshethra Dharmasthala, for doing the mistake of electing representatives like CM Yedyurappa and former CM HD Kumaraswamy.
They collected over Rs 835. The money collected from the voters will be submitted at Dharmasthala, on Jun 27, when both CM and former CM are expected to be there at Dharmasthala. Ganeshraj Saralebettu and others also participated in the expiation programme.
