Labourer drowns at fishing port

Mangalore, September 14: A labourer lost his life after falling into water at Old Fishing Port here on Wednesday.

The deceased has been identified as Ravi (35), hailing from Tamil Nadu.

It is said that Ravi had been working at Fishing Port since last two months.

Nagaswami, a colleague of Ravi, said in his complaint that the latter accidentally fell into the water while loading fish in the afternoon.

The body was recovered and shifted to Government Wenlock Hospital for post mortem.

A case has been registered at Pandeshawar Police station.
