Mangalore, September 15: A goods train derailment near Hoige Bazar railway gate stalled traffic on interior roads of the city for more than three hours on Thursday evening.

The last coach of the train, which had just began to move back after unloading cement at goods-shed, accidentally ran off the tracks at around 6:45 pm said an official from Railway department.

The train had more than 20 empty coaches. Local police, who rushed to the spot, clarified that no one was injured in the incident. However, several intersections in the area were blocked for few hours, they said.
