Udupi, September 17: Excise officials on Friday disposed off over 9000 leters of illegal spirit stored in 270 cans, recovered in a case registered last year to the Alevoor river near Kalmanje.
The value of the disposed spirit is estimated at Rs 10 lakhs.
Deputy Commissioner MK Somaiah, Deputy Superintendent Gurumurthy, Inspector Sowmyalatha headed the disposing operation.
