Mangalore, October 29: Marking the end of its silver jubilee celebrations, Father Muller College of Nursing (FMCON) will hold the grand finale on Thursday, November 1, which happens to be the 102nd death anniversary of founder Fr Augustine Muller, said FMCON administrator Fr Denis D'Sa.
Speaking at a press meet here on Monday, he said that Archbishop of Bangalore Dr Bernard Moras would be the chief guest on the occasion. President of Trained Nurses Association of India (TNAI) Prof Gillbert F C C will be the guest of honour and Bishop of Mangalore Dr Aloysius Paul D'Souza will preside.
On the occasion, few alumni who have excelled in academics and occupied important positions in the country will be felicitated. These include, deputy registrar of RGUHS Bangalore Prof Jasmine Benny, Dr Christopher S, Dr Larissa Martha Sams, Dr Prasanti Nattala, Dr Alphonsa and Dr Judith Noronha, among others, he said.
A silver jubilee souvenir will be released by the chief guest on the occasion to commemorate the event, he said.
The programme will be held in Academy Hall in the campus and will be followed by a cultural programme by the students, he said.
FMCON principal Sr Winnifred D'Souza, vice principal Victoria D'Almeida and Prof Chanu Bhattacharya were present at the press meet.
