
Doctors Association President Dr H N Ravindra announced the end of strike, saying they had decided to resume work keeping in mind the suffering of patients. He said the agitation to press for their charter of demands, including framing of a transfer policy has been temporarily suspended, but did not elaborate.
Yesterday, the government had asked the doctors to call off their stir in the interest of the patients, claiming, most of their demands had already been met with.
The Karnataka High Court had also ordered issue of notice to the government and doctors' association on a suo motu PIL registered by it in connection with the strike.
