Mangalore, Feb 24: Six couples entered into wedlock on Sunday in a mass community marriage ceremony organised by Hayathul Islam Association, Mangalore, at Jamiyatul Falah Hall at Kankanady in Mangalore.
The marriage ceremony was inaugurated by Abdul Khader Darimi Kukkila, Khateeb of Kudroli Jumma Masjid, Mangalore.
On the occasion, Al-haj Shaikhuna Thwaka Ahmed Musliyar, Khazi of Dakshina Kannada performed the solemn Nikah and presided over the ceremony.
President of DK Muslim Central Committee K S Mohammed Masood, B Ahmed Moidin Thumbe, Chancellor of Yenepoya University Y Abdullah Kunhi, MLA of Mangalore U T Khader, C Mahmood, Moosa Moideen, Riyaz Bava, Abdullah Haq Assadi, U K Andul Khader, former Mayor K Ashraf, advocate U Mohammed Ali and others participated in the ceremony.
