A programme was organised by Father Muller Medical College Hospital, in association with Jamiyyatul Falah, on the occasion of their silver jubilee. The donor of the dialysis machine Sayeed Karnire is an NRI businessman based in Jubail, Saudi Arabia.
Mangalore Khazi Alhaj Thwaka Ahmed Musliyar inaugurated the machine and blessed the occasion. Administrator of FMMCH Fr Richard Coelho also blessed the new machine.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Father Muller Medical College Hospital and Jamiyyatul Falah at a formal programme, following the inauguration.
Speaking at the programme, chief guest S M Rasheed of SMR Group congratulated Jamiyyatul Falah for their efforts towards the noble cause. “I am happy to hear that four dialysis units had been donated previously to this hospital through the efforts of JF,” he said, wishing well for the organisation.
President of Mangalore JF unit Khaleel Ahmed expressed his pleasure at being part of the efforts to provide better service to patients requiring dialysis. On the other hand, he also expressed sorrow on the rise in the number of dialysis patients over the years. He congratulated the management of the hospital for their help and cooperation. “Hope the world becomes free from diseases through the efforts of all,” he wished on the occasion.
Director of Father Muller Charitable Institutions Fr Patrick Rodrigues said that there was no noble work than providing service to the sick and dying. He said that it was noble of JF to have helped in facilitated dialysis for deserving patients at nominal fees.
Khazi Thwaka Ahmed Musliyar also spoke on the occasion. Mr Karnire was felicitated during the programme.
