Mangalore, Oct 13: The cast and crew of'Chellapilli' movie, directed by Mangalorean Sai Krishna Kudla, starring Vijay Raghavendra and Aishwarya Nag, completed 100 successful screening days.
The movie was released in theatres across the state three months ago on July 5. The milestone was celebrated by the team of the film at a programme at Town Hall here on Saturday.
Speaking at a press conference earlier, director Sai Krishna Kudla said that as a result of the film's success, many Kannada producers had come forward to fund upcoming Tulu movies in the coming days.
Nagendra Urs, son of renowned Kannada actor late Sunder Krishna Urs, said that it was difficult for a movie to complete 100 days in such a competitive world, but'Chellapilli' had reached this milestone. The director and producers of this film are the real heroes, he said, thanking cine-goers for the good response the movie had garnered.
Producers Sudesh Bhandary and Sukesh Bhandary were present in the press conference.
