Mangalore, Nov 17: The culmination of'Year of the Faith,' as declared by the Vatican for the year 2012-13, will be held between November 22 and 24 at Nehru Maidan from 4 p.m. to 7.30 p.m.
The three-day programme will include sessions by preachers from across the country who will deliberate on worship, healing, and other aspects of the religion, said Aloysius Paul D'souza, Bishop of the Mangalore diocese.
He said Mangalore Diocese will'Walk for Christ' youth rally for youth on November 17. The rally is scheduled to start at 2.00pm from Milagres Church, Mangalore and will culminate at Rosario Cathadral Church of Mangalore.
The purpose of the rally is to establish peace, fight against immoral and social evil, establish peace and harmony, Justice, equality of brotherhood and fight against evil in the society; he said adding that, “around 5000 youths are expected to take part in the rally,” the Bishop added.
Valedictory ceremony of the faith year will have preaching, praise and worship, adoration, internal healings and holy Eucharistic celebration. Devotees around 25,000 of catholic community are expected to take part in three days valedictory ceremony, he added.
