Mangalore, May 25: It was his fortune to be the first person to find out the much needed black box of the ill fated Air India Express Boeing 737-800 that claimed 158 lives, although he didn't know what the black box is.
Mehboob Sab is an expert JCB operator who lives in Kenjar, a town located hardly a kilometre away from the crash site.
When the search operation commenced to find out the black box hours after the crash, Nithin Earthmovers, a company which got a contract from officials, ordered Mehboob to operate the JCB.
He strived hard day and night and finally accomplished the task at 10 am on Tuesday. When he lifted a yellow coloured plastic bag lying beneath the debris of crashed flight, authorities noticed an object hiding under it. And, it was the black box indeed.
