Taking a dig at BJP leader and Union Minister Anant Kumar Hegde for his ‘nalayak politicians’ remark, Janata Dal (Secular) state president H D Kumaraswamy has questioned the contribution of the six-time Uttara Kannada MP to his constituency.
Kumaraswamy was replying to a query on Hegde’s remarks that the leaders of Hyderabad-Karnataka region lack vision for development and are nalayak (unfit).
"As an MP Anant Kumar Hegde has done nothing for his constituency and has called himself a nalayak (unfit). His achievements are making provocative statements and talking lightly of writers and intellectuals," the former chief minister said.
Kumaraswamy also accused Chief Minister Siddaramaiah of looting taxpayers' money and sending the same to the Congress high command through special planes. He (Siddaramaiah) has appointed five ministers of his Cabinet to carry out the exercise," he alleged.
"Five ministers including H K Patil, are sending money to the high command. When Yeddyurappa was the chief minister, he used to receive money through cheques. But Siddaramaiah is raising money through Ramana Lekka-Krishnana Lekka (unaccounted) for the party activities.
The JD(S) if voted to power will expose the murky deals of the Siddaramaiah-led government," Kumaraswamy said. Siddaramaiah has ordered for SIT probe into the mining scam to bury the irregularities once for all, he alleged.
