Mysuru, June 18: Second Additional Sessions Court has issued an order to file First Information Report (FIR) against former Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and three others who are accused of allegedly involved in illegal land grab case when he was Deputy Chief Minister 25 years back.
This 25-year-old land grab case surfaced following a complaint by N Gangaraju, an Advocate, who has filed a complaint with the court accusing Siddaramaiah, former Chairman of Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) C Basavegowda, MUDA Chairman D Dhruvakumar and MUDA Commissioner P S Kantharaju.
The complainant had also submitted a memorandum to the Karnataka Governor some time back alleging connivance of Dhruvakumar and Kantharaju in the illegal land grab deal by Siddaramaiah.
Siddaramaiah is currently undergoing two-week yoga and nature cure treatment at a hospital in Belthangady.
An agricultural property bearing Survey No 70/4A to an extent of 10 guntas in Hinkal Village Kasaba Hobli, belonging to one Sakamma was converted from agricultural to non-agricultural land at the Deputy Commissioner’s office in 1997 and consequently MUDA issued a No Objection Certificate (NoC) to the property for construction of a dwelling house.
