Bengaluru, Jan 3: Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister Dr C N Ashwattha Narayana on Sunday appealed to the opposition parties not to politicise the Covid -19 vaccine.

Speaking to reporters after participating in the 'Chitra Santhe' (Art Fair) held here, he said the opposition should make constructive and value based suggestions to the government. The opposition parties have no other issues, making statements on serious covid-19 vaccine instead of cooperating with the government in curbing spread of the virus.

It is welcome that the central government has approved Bharat Biotech to vaccinate the country. "The first phase of vaccination will be given to covid warriors and those who are in the forefront fighting against this covid-19.

He said India has a large population and the government will welcome companies providing vaccines. The sanctioned action is a good step for Bharat Biotech.

He said that the union government has been taking steps to provide every one vaccine and it will be provided on the priority basis.
