Bengaluru, Feb 19: Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) President Dinesh Gundurao on Tuesday said that the seat sharing formula between coalition partners in the State – Congress and Janata Dal (Secular) was not finalised yet for the Lok Sabha Election, despite reports that said Congress will give seven seats to JD(S).
Reports said that the Congress party had allocated seven seats out of 28 Lok Sabha seats in Karnataka for JDS. But Mr Kumaraswamy said in Mysuru that the JD(S) was not begging with Congress for allocation of more seats under the coalition understanding for the General Elections.
Mr Gundurao said no segments or number of seats was yet decided for the Lok Sabha elections between the parties and the seat sharing talks was not completed. ‘I will hold talks with JDS(S) President H D Devegowda in the coming days after consultation with Congress High Command and then my party will decide’’.
