Belagavi, Dec 21: Veteran Journalist and pro-Kannada leader Raghavendra Joshi passed away due to cardiac arrest at his residence today.
He was 78. He was survived by Wife, 2 daughters and 2 sons.
Family sources said that after returning from usual Morning walk he collapsed and breathed last.
He started 'Nadoja' Kannada daily and 'Nirbeetha' weekly magazine.
He and Late Thoppannavar (Editor-Kannadamma daily) were always in the forefront whenever Kannada issue was raised by trouble mongers of Maharashtra Ekikarana Samithi (MES) in the District bordering Maharashtra.
He was the winner of the prestigious More Hanumantha Rao Award.
