Mangaluru, Mar 20: Congress supremo Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday visited three prominent places of worship belonging to Hindus, Muslims and Christians in Mangaluru.
After his public rally at Nehru Maidan in the city, he visited the Church of Our Lady of Rosary in Pandeshwar and offered prayers. Bishop Aloysius Paul DSouza, Msgr Denis Moras Prabhu , Sr Rose Celine BS, Mr MP Noronha, Fr J B Crasta and others honoured Rahul on the occasion.
He then proceeded to Sri Gokarnanatheshwara temple in Kudroli and offered prayers. He also met the patron of the temple and former union minister B Janardhana Poojary in the temple and inquired his health.
Rahul then proceeded to Ullal and made ziyarath of the historic Dargah of Sayyid Muhammed Shareeful Madani. He covered his head with a kerchief before offering dua seeking blessings of the saint. On his way to Ullal, he garlanded the statue of Rani Abbakka.
