Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh honours Dr B P Shelly

Mangalore, Aug 19: Dr Bhaskara P Shelley, Professor and Head, department of Neurology, Yenepoya Medical College, Mangalore has been honoured with the Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians, Edinburgh in recognition of his professional distinction and contribution to the field of neurology with particular interest in brain sciences.

He has trained in cognitive and behavioral neurology in the UK. He has special interest in the areas that bridge the divide between mind and brain duality, dementia, healthy brain ageing and medical education. He is a proponent of 'healthy brain ageing' and advocates a 'healthy brain lifestyle' a hope for dementia prevention.

He is an alumnus of Kasturba Medical College, Manipal, a release said.
