Sukanya Rao awarded PhD by NITK

Mangaluru, Dec 2: City based lecturer Sukanya Rao has successfully completed her doctoral studies in the field of Behavioural Finance and has been awarded PhD degree by National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK), Surathkal for her thesis Factors Affecting Investment Decision Making of Individual Investors in India'.

Her research guides for the study were Dr K. B. Kiran, Professor, Dept. of Humanities, Social Sciences and Management, NITK, Surathkal and Dr S. Sridhar, Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology, Bengaluru.

An alumnus of Lady Hill Victoria Girls School and St Agnes High School & College, Mangaluru, she had completed her M Com from Mangaluru University.

In her career as a teacher she has served at various institutions like St. Joseph's Engineering College, Mangaluru; Srinivas Institute of Technology, Mangaluru; MSNM Besant Institute of PG Studies, Mangaluru; NMAM Institute of Technology, Nitte and Mangaluru University.

Dr Sukanya Rao is the daughter Late Nagarathna and Raghu K Shetty of Thingole Mane, Atikaribettu, Mulky and the wife of Sri Rohit S. Rao, Proprietor of Crystal Electronics, Balmatta, Mangaluru.
