New Delhi, Jan 6: Popular Telugu actor Uday Kiran allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself. If recent reports are anything to go by, the actor killed himself in his apartment at Srinagar Colony, Punjagutta on Sunday night. Vishita, Kiran's wife, reportedly rushed Kiran to Apollo hospital at Jubilee Hills on finding his body hanging to the ceiling on Sunday night.

Uday Kiran, who is known for his romantic roles in Telugu films, made debut with Chitram, a Telegu film directed by Teja in 2000. The actor also has popular films 'Nuvvu Nenu' and 'Manasantha Nuvve' to his credit.

He was last seen in 'Jai Sriram', which released in April, 2013.

In his little over a decade-long career, Telugu actor Uday Kiran managed to do three Tamil films, which bombed at the box-office. Uday debuted in Tamil films with 'Poi', followed by 'Vamba Sandai' and 'Pen Singam'.
