Hubballi, May 12: While everyone wants their spouses to be well educated and meritorious, a few also want their partners to support their educational causes. But sadly, this is limited to the middle and upper strata of soceity.
Kumara Mutagar who works at a Timber Yard of Unakal in Hubballi has set an example by scoring 514 out of 600 in the PU Examination despite a sweaty work schedule and two children.
Interestingly, if Kumar had not married Ramya, an attender at Manjunatheshwara School of Unakal, probably he would could have only dreamt of good scores and not achieved it.
But the support of his wife took him back to the examination hall and brought out the best in him. Kumar had secured 299 marks in his SSLC examination in 1999-2000. However, he was not able to continue with his studies due to responsibilities.
He married Ramya in 2011. But Ramya, who wanted her husband to pursue his education, convinced him and boosted his confidence at regular intervals.
His intensity of preparation finally had the desired result. Kumar scored 75 in Kannada, 75 in Hindi, 84 in History, 95 in Economics, 96 in social science and 91 in Political Science.
