Bengaluru, Mar 12: An educationist and founder of a school in Bengaluru breathed his last at a private hospital a day after he suffered severe injuries when a two-wheeler knocked him down.
The victim is Gopalakrishna Reddy, founder of Subhash School and the district president of private schools managements’ association.
Reddy was injured on Friday night when three boys were said to be wheeling on a motorbike. He was rushed to Manipal Hospital in Bengaluru. However, he succumbed to injuries on Saturday night.
Leaders of a number of organisations including Kannada Sahitya Parishat, All India Democratic Women’s Association and College Lecturers’ Association have urged the authorities to trace the minors involved in the incident and take stringent measures to stop the wheeling menace.
