When Salman Khan met Narendra Modi

Mumbai, Jan 14: Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi, who is quite active and popular on social media, took to Twitter to share his picture with Bollywood superstar Salman Khan.

Modi wrote, “Enjoying Uttarayan in Ahmedabad. Salman Khan will join for lunch. @BeingSalmanKhan (sic).”

BJP's Prime Ministerial candidate also enjoyed Gujarat's delicacy Undhiyu with the Bollywood actor.

“Having Undhiyu for lunch with Salman Khan. Undhiyu is a Gujarati delicacy and is a must-have during Uttarayan! (sic).”

The Minister was celebrating the festival of Uttarayan in Gujarat wherein people fly kites. He also shared a poem he had written way back in the 1980s with his followers.

The hunk of an actor had recently courted controversy for performing at the Saifai Mahotsav organised by the Samajwadi Party in Uttar Pradesh. The UP government led by Akhilesh Yadav was criticised for splurging on Bollywood stars even as a number of communal riot affected victims were battling odds to sustain. However, the actor cleared the air surrounding his participation in the event and said that the funds derived from the event were directed towards charity on behalf of his NGO- Being Human.
