
The husband of the deceased has alleged that his wife died due to the doctors' negligence.
The deceased has been identified as Rajeshwari (28), wife of Raveesh, agriculturist from Mavinakatte in Devachalla in Sullia taluk.
It is said that Rajeshwari had been suffering from fever from a few days and has been admitted to a private hospital in Sullia. After confirming it as dengue, the medical doctor advised to get her admitted to a hospital in Puttur.
As per his advice, Rajeshwari was admitted to Puttur hospital four days ago. Failing to respond to the medical treatment, she passed away on Monday.
Blaming the doctors of medical negligence for his wife's death, Raveesh reprimanded the team of medical doctors at the hospital.
In response to this, the doctors said that Rajeshwari had been suffering from dengue and had been kept under observation. However, she failed to respond to treatment and succumbed to the disease, said the doctors.
Soon after, Puttur town police intervened and brought the situation under control. Rajeshwari is survived by her husband, a son and a daughter.
