Bangalore, Aug 1: In a major reshuffle the State government has transferred five IAS and 31 IPS officers. The development comes as three senior IAS officers - G?V?Krishna Rau, Amaranarayana and K?R?Niranjan retired from service on Thursday.
Senior IAS?officer G?Latha Krishna Rau is the new Additional Chief Secretary-cum-Development Commissioner. She takes the post held by her husband Krishna Rau.
Following are the new postings of the officers: P Ravi Kumar - Additional Chief Secretary, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department; P Manivannan - Managing Director, Karnataka Urban Water Supply and Drainage Board; Ramegowda - Commissioner for Transport and Road Safety, Bangalore, and S Ziyaullah - Commissioner for Backward Classes Welfare.
IPS officers: The government has also transferred 31 IPS officers.
