Abu Dhabi, Mar 22: India Social and Cultural Centre Abu Dhabi along with ADMS, KSC, ILA, IIC and BWF, bid adieu to Ananad Bardhan, Counsellor, Community Affairs at the Embassy of India, U.AE recently.
Representatives of Abu Dhabi based associations and community leaders, including Bearys Welfare Forum represented by Mohamed Ali Uchil, president, Abdulla Madumoole, general secretary and Rafeeq krishnapur, Vice President were present on the occasion.
Mr Bardan, a man who always stood with labor class for their rights and in their sorrows served UAE for the past three-and-a-half years and brought about sweeping changes in fast-track implementation of passports, settlement of laborers problems and many other administrative developments and changes that helped the Indian Community all over UAE.
UAE Exchange President Sudheer Kumar shetty was chief guest on the occasion.
ISC Secretary M A Salam invited the ambassador to the dais along with patrons of ISC and association leaders namely Thomas John, Bava Hajee (president Indian Islamic Centre), Ayesha (president ILA).
Responding to the honour, Mr Bardhan expressed satisfaction for carrying out his duties and responsibilities to the best of his ability.
He also said that he gave prominence towards fostering bilateral relationship between Indian and UAE in terms of trade, commerce. Pursuing for the pension scheme to the labourers, was one of this commendable effort.
He also thanked his team and staff at the Indian Embassy and acknowledged their support all the time.
