
Bangalore, Aug 31: Chairman of State Haj Committee M M Ahmed said that action would be taken against Air India Express for its sudden and unexpected cancellation of Haj flight from Mangalore International Airport on Saturday.
He was speaking to reporters at Bangalore Haj camp in Eidgah Ground. He said that the committee had received several complaints about Air India Express's poor service to the pilgrims.
He said a delegation would meet Union Civil Aviation minister and External Affair Minister on Sunday in this regard.
“We will not tolerate this attitude from Air India authorities. We appeal the central government to initiate action against the erring officials,” he said.
The fourth batch of Haj pilgrims consisting 130 persons had to stay put in Mangalore on Saturday following the cancellation of a connecting flight from Mumbai.
