Bangalore, Mar 18: Actor-turned-politician and Karnataka Housing Minister Ambareesh, who is undergoing treatment at a hospital in Singapore since March 1, was taken off ventilator support and recovering well.
"I will come back home. Your Rebel Star will be back as the Rebel Star. Jai Hind, Jai Karnataka," Ambareesh said in a video message recorded in the hospital.
He expressed gratitude to his fans and well-wishers forpraying for his recovery. "Fans and well-wishers should not panic. My health is improving and I will return to Bangalore after remaining in hospital for another week," he said in the message.
Ambareesh (61) was in the Vikram Hospital here since February 21 after he complained of breathlessness. He was shifted to Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore as desired by his family members.
In the video footage, Ambi has said, "Namaskara (Hello Everybody) as you all know I was down with fever and other health hazards from past few days. With all your prayers, blessings and wishes I am out of danger.
"I will be returning to my lovely state Karnataka in 10 days or so, as your Rebel Star. Currently, I am following strict food diet and doing few exercises as per the instructions given by the doctors. I thank everybody, who had prayed for my speedy recovery and thank God for giving me second life. I am very grateful for you all," says Ambi, who is likely to fly to Malaysia after the discharge. Ambareesh is been accompanied by his actress wife Sumalatha Ambareesh and son Abhishek Gowda.
