Bengaluru, Apr 1: BJP?national president Amit Shah is said to have restrained the party state unit from inducting disgruntled leaders from other parties into the BJP?fold in haste.

Shah held a discussion with state leaders in this regard when they were in New Delhi to participate in the induction of former chief minister S?M?Krishna into the BJP recently, the sources added.
After BJP’s?impressive performance in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand Assembly polls, the number of leaders from other parties evincing interest to join the BJP is on the rise. Inducting every person showing interest to join the BJP will send a wrong message to the dedicated loyalists who have been working for the party for decades, Shah is said to have stated.
Henceforth, the opinion of local leaders, jurisdictional district presidents and RSS functionaries will have to be taken before inducting any person into the party, it is stated. Shah is also said to have told state leaders to set a mission to win all the 224 seats in the state.
