Udupi, Aug 18: Former police officer Anupama Shenoy, who once again hit the headlines by releasing the audio tapes of her recorded conversations with a minister and senior police officers, has now taken up the issue of alleged harassment with Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh.

Udupi based Shenoy, who resigned as Kudligi DySP nearly two months ago, has complained against Om Prakash, Director-General and Inspector-General of Police, holding him responsible for the “deteriorating law and order situation in the State.”
She has also urged Mr. Singh to initiate disciplinary action against Mr. Om Prakash and a few other senior officials.
In her three-page complaint, Ms. Shenoy has cited several instances, including suicides of DySPs M.K. Ganapathy and Kallappa Handibag, and her own transfer as proof of deteriorating law and order in the State.
“These instances clearly indicate that there is no social justice and human rights for policemen in the Karnataka State Police department,” she said in her letter.
