Mangalore, Nov 15: Amir Husain, son of Ayisha Banu and Zubair, who have been arrested by Bihar police in connection with illegal money transactions, claiming that his parents are innocent has said that his parents have not helped any terror outfit and all the allegations including the one that crores of rupees have been transferred into their account is far from truth.

After Ayisha and Zubair were arrested Amir has been living with his paternal grandparents at Bhatrakatte near Permude. Since the arrest, Amir has been handling the beedi collection business run by his parents.
“It is true that my parents have been nabbed by the cops. On Monday midnight the team of cops had come home and they questioned us till 4 a.m. and then took us to Panambur police station. After detaining my parents, they sent us back,” says Amir adding that he has not yet come to believe that the episodes going on in their lives are a real.
He says that while they had been in contact with friends and relatives living abroad, they have never ever got a call from Pakistan.
Beedi branches
Zubair and Ayisha had been running beedi branches at Urwa, Boloor, Bajpe, Permude, Shanthigudde, Kinnipadau, Padil, Kathalsar and other areas. With the arrest of the couple, Amir says that the company is thinking of handing over the contract to some other person.
Meanwhile, Zubair's second wife Zareena Banu, who was living in a rented house at Padil near Bajpe too has locked the house. She has been living with her maternal uncle at Sunkadakatte. The lady and her uncle are unwilling to speak about the incident.
