Bangalore, Jun 7: Amid speculations that Narendra Modi-led government will replace the governors in at least eight states, including Karnataka, names from the BJP camp have started doing rounds for the posts.

According to sources, Kalyan had vacated Etah Lok Sabha for his son Rajveer Singh after being convinced by BJP's UP in charge Amit Shah.
Sources added that Kalyan Singh is also being considered for the chairmanship of a commission like Farmers Commission.
A hardline Hindutva leader Kalyan had early owned full responsibility for the demolition of the Babri Masjid on December 6, 1992.
"As chief minister of UP, I had ordered police not to fire at Ram bhakts who had assembled at Ayodhya in 1992 during the Ram temple movement, which led to demolition of the Babri mosque. I take full responsibility," he said in an interview.
Kalyan Singh had left BJP first in 1999 due to difference with the top leadership but came back in 2004. He left the BJP again in 2009, alleging neglect and humiliation by the senior BJP leaders. However, ahead of recently held Lok Sabha polls Kalyan had returned to the saffron party.
