Doha, Jun 9: Days after the formation of an alumni sub-committee for the development of Mangalore 's historic Badria Educational Institutes in the Saudi Arabian city of Jubial, a similar subcommittee has been formed in Qatar.
Responding to an open proposal by Coastaldigest.com several enthusiastic alumni of Badria working in Qatar got together on June 7 and decided to form an ad-hoc subcommittee immediately and strengthen it in the coming days by inviting more alumni.
Around a dozen alumni belonging to various batches passed out between 1965 and 2006 from Badria took part in the meeting and unanimously elected the following members as office- bearers of the subcommittee:
Muntaz Hussain, Mangalore (batch 1965-1977) was unanimously elected as the president of the subcommittee. Suhaib Ahmed, Mangalore (batch 1988-2006) was chosen as general secretary. Mohammed Faisel Shiekh (batch 1988-2005) was chosen as treasurer.
Shadath, Imran Ullal, Sayed Shoaib, Shameer Mahin, Mohammed Faizal, Shafakath Hussain, Khaled Mohsin became the members of the committee.
