Mysuru, Oct 23: Mysore-Kodagu Member of Parliament Pratap Simha and Mysuru district BJP president Kote M Shivanna called on senior party leader C H Vijayashankar at his residence here on Sunday.
They were there to wish him on his 62nd birthday. But they utilised the opportunity to appeal to Vijayashankar to stay on in the party.
The former Mysuru MP has, of late, expressed his disappointment with the party, with regard to the ticket for contesting from the Periyapatna Assembly seat.
Pratap Simha later told reporters that it was only Vijayashankar who had the capacity to win the constituency for the BJP as he has been organising the party there over the past couple of years.
