Speaking during discussion on motion of thanks to the Governor's address at the Legislative Assembly on Wednesday, former speaker K G Bopaiah also accused the police of failing to take action against the real culprits.
Mr?Bopaiah further said that instances of communal violence in the State had been on the rise ever since the Congress government came to power.
Banned organisations were resurfacing by changing the names of their outfits and the government had turned a blind eye to the same, he alleged. People who indulged in illegal activities were allowed to go scot free, he said.
However, home minister K?J?George rubbished the allegation stating that culprits had also been arrested and Bopaiah was making baseless allegations.
During the discussion, N Cheluvarayaswamy (JD-S)?had to withdraw a statement made by him on the alleged corruption in the previous government after the BJP?members raised a hue and cry over the issue.
