Mangalore, Sep 5: An investigation team from the CID arrived from Bangalore on Friday, to probe the case in connection with the alleged illegal demolition of a house belonging to John Baptist Louis by the management of St Aloysius College (SAC) run by Jesuit Fathers.
The CID investigation team is led by DySP Narayan Swamy. On Friday, the team headed to the property where the house which John Baptist and his two daughters had been occupying had been reduced to rubble with the help of a JCB bulldozer, and began investigation.
As part of the probe, the investigating team dug up few belongings from underneath the debris to ascertain the occupancy of the house before it was demolished.
John Baptist had alleged that the college management had illegally demolished the house he was occupying without serving any notice. They allegedly even stole few documents from the house before getting it demolished, while leaving behind all the other belongings of John and his family such as furniture, clothing and other things.
The dispute over the concerned property located at Patrao Lane in Karangalpady has not been resolved by the court.
John's daughters Savita and Josmin Melita were present at the spot when the CID team began conducting investigation with the help of a JCB excavator.
