Udupi, Feb 8: Despite BJP top brass' decision to field former chief minister D V Sadananda Gowda from Udupi-Chikmagalur constituency, the later has reportedly shown hesitation to face incumbent MP K Jayaprakash Hegde.

dvs
Even though Mr Gowda has won Udupi-Chikmagalur constituency twice, BJP had failed to retain the seat in recently held bypoll despite massive campaign. At the same time Mr Hegde has strengthened his base in the constituency in a short period.

Sources within BJP said that Mr Gowda had intensely lobbied for Bangalore North ticket, a move that exposed internal tussle of the saffron party.

Meanwhile, BJP?national?general secretary H N Ananth Kumar and former deputy chief minister R?Ashoka have managed to convince central leadership not to yield to Mr Gowda's preasure.

Justifying his desire to contest from Bangalore North, Mr Gowda has said that as a former party president, he can choose any constituency.

However, Mr Ashoka has even gone to the extent of branding Mr Gowda “an outsider”.

Bangalore has always been politically very significant with its three Lok?Sabha constituencies and 28 Assembly segments. It is learnt that Mr Kumar and Mr Ashoka were apprehensive that the former chief minister would emerge as a parallel power centre in the State capital if he is allowed to nurture Bangalore as his political constituency.

Tim-I love your principle of \time as a currency\".
Having simply invested 2.5 weeks in Europe with my other half and kids this
summer (all the time I might spare), I want to God
it had been 2.5 months. Also, having the day of
rest for Labor Day the other day was just a bit too good.
I had actually not seen \"time as a currency\" before, but when I read it on here it hit me like a ton of bricks.
It is not simply a currency, it is THE Currency.thomLikeLike
