Bengaluru, Oct 17: A young doctor committed suicide by hanging herself from the ceiling of her parents’ residence in Sakamma Layout, near Nandini Layout, north Bengaluru, on Monday.
Police said Dr Ashwini (32), who was working with a BBMP hospital in Krishnanda Nagar, Nandini Layout, has not left behind any suicide note.
Ashwini had married a doctor three years ago. However, they got separated within a year of marriage and she had been staying with her parents’ ever since.
Police suspect she was depressed over her personal life after the couple had filed for divorce. The suicide came to light around 11.30am when her father went to call Nandini for breakfast.
When she did not respond to the knocks, he broke open the door only to find his daughter hanging, police said. Police have registered a case of unnatural death.
