Mangaluru, Oct 28: Dakshina Kannada district-in-charge minister B Ramanath Rai has expressed concern over growing ties between communal forces in the coastal Karnataka and underworld operatives.

Stating that the communal and fundamentalist forces are trying to create differences among religions and are involving underworld elements in their conspiracies, the minister said that people should not be fooled by their propaganda.
“People of coastal Karnataka should change their attitude and keep communal forces at bay,” he said that adding that many groups are trying to create enmity among communities with the help of some incidents.
“Immoral rowdyism, i.e. attacking couple from different communities and giving communal tinge to untoward incidents etc contribute to the politics of hatred, he said urging the people to maintain a distance with those who indulge in such activities.
