Bengaluru Mar 15: A tweet by former union minister M Veerappa Moily, on Thursday night, raised eyebrows as he accused Public Works Minister H C Mahadevappa, who is Chief Minister Siddaramaiah's close side, of having a "nexus" with road contractors ahead of the elections.

"INC needs to solve money in politics. We can't afford to have road contractors and their nexus with the state PWD minister determine how candidates are selected for the upcoming assembly elections," Moily tweeted from the @moilyv handle, which is followed by several senior Congress leaders. Congress president Rahul Gandhi was also tagged to the tweet.
