Mangalore, May 13: The Congress government in the state has given a governance of development and social justice to the people of Karnataka in the term of one year after coming to power. The state government is committed to delivering the key election assurances promised in its manifesto, said KPCC general secretary Ivan D'Souza on the completion of one year in office.

He said that the Congress had given an unblemished and corrupt-free administration in a period of 365 days after coming to power. While implementing several programmes such as Ksheera Bhagya, Anna Bhagya and waiver of farmer loans, the Congress government fulfilled 90 out of 165 promises made in its manifesto within one year of coming to power, he said, adding that the rest of the promises would be fulfilled by the government in the next four years of its rule.
Disregarding the exit poll prediction results foretelling the victory of BJP in the Lok Sabha elections, he expressed confidence that the ruling Congress party would return to power at the centre.
