Mangaluru, Jun 2: Accusing two policemen attached to Brahmavar police station in Udupi district of indecent behaviour and molestation attempt, a young woman on Thursday approached Inspector General of Police (Western Range) demanding justice.

“I am a victim. I need justice. I will not keep quiet until I get justice and cops get punishment. If IGP also fails to take action against them I will resort to protest,” she said adding that she would not even hesitate to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi seeking justice.
Narrating the incident, Suchitra said that Brahmavar Sub Inspector Tharanath and a constable had come to hospital on May 20 to take statement of her brother, who was under treatment after an assault.
“I was there in the hospital to take care of my injured brother. The SI and constable apparently misbehaved with me and tried to molest,” she said.
“When I met Udupi SP Annamalai K on May 23 along with human rights activist and brought the issue to his notice, he just ignored us. The next day again we met the SP and he asked me to narrate the story in detail,” she said adding that it was an embarrassing moment for her as there were no female cops.
However, the complaint to the SP ultimately proved to be futile as he only tried to cover up the issue and protect the accused, the woman said.
She was accompanied by a few human rights activists from Udupi including Jayashree Bhat and Sajini Vinay.

Annamale went to Shabrimale, now no use, Namo also will keep quiet dear, it is better to approach Mohan Bhagwat because nowadays RSS is ruling India
This is not for first time that Udipi SP has been controversial.
How can he ignore on the first day and asking on the next day again to narrate. If the SP ignores, how can we expect the law and order is maintained in Udipi.
Hope he will treat the victim as if she is his own sister
