Bengaluru, Jan 30: An empty suitcase abandoned near the administrative block of the Kempegowda International Airport created a stir on Friday evening, following which the airport was put on high alert.

This comes just days after a bomb hoax in a Goa-bound Air Asia flight.
The unclaimed baggage with a plastic cover was found by the airport police during routine checks.
The bomb disposal squad was pressed into service but an all-clear was given once it was confirmed that the bag was empty.
P. S. Harsha, Deputy Commissioner of Police (North-east), said that the authorities were examining CCTV footage to identify the person who left the suitcase behind.
Security personnel at the airport detained a businessman, Satish Reddy, after they found a pistol on him.
Mr. Reddy, who provided a licence for the weapon, claimed that he had just come to the airport to see his friend off.
The staff later confirmed the authenticity of the licence and released him with a warning, a senior police officer said.
