
Bantwal, May 10: A middle aged expatriate worker from Dakshina Kannada breathed his last in Abu Dhabi after a massive cardiac arrest, sources said.
The deceased is Abdul Khader (48) son of Haji Bava, a native of Panemangalore in Bantwal taluk. He was working for a college in Abdu Dhabi.
According to sources, On Thursday when he was discussing with one of his friends in the latter's room, experienced severe chest pain. He was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital where his condition worsened and breathed his last the same night.
It is learnt that he had returned to Abu Dhabi around three weeks ago after spending a vacation at home in Panemangalore. He had also booked a flight ticket to come back to Mangalore on Sunday, May 11, for treatment.
Abdul Khader had been working in gulf countries for several years and landed in Abdu Dhabi a couple of years ago. He is survived by his wife, a son and two daughters.
His companions in Abu Dhabi are trying to dispatch the mortal remains to his hometown for final rites.
