Thiruvananthapuram, Jun 8: A case against Congress chief Sonia Gandhi was registered on Wednesday by a construction firm in Kerala for non payment of dues.
The FIR has been registered by Heather Constructions who built the Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Development Studies.
According to M/S Heather Constructions managing partner Rajeev, his company was given the contract to construct the institute in Thiruvananthapuram but the dues were not cleared.
Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Development Studies Chairman Ramesh Chennithala, former Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy and Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee president VM Sudheeran have also been named in the FIR.
Quoting party insiders, the report said that the dues were not cleared because of an intra party feud in the Kerala unit of the Congress.
The report also added that the party chief had asked KPCC to settle the dues after receiving a legal notice, but the company claimed that it has not received any payment.
